Zyxel Networks Introduces Passwordless Logins and AI-Driven Security to Help Businesses Stay Ahead of Emerging Threats

Zyxel Networks, a provider of secured AI-powered cloud networking solutions, has introduced new security enhancements across its account and security services, including an industry-first Passkey login option and AI-driven protection updates. These advancements strengthen security while simplifying operations, enabling small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and managed service providers (MSPs) to respond faster to threats and achieve more with fewer resources.

The Growing Cybersecurity Challenge for SMBs

Accoring to Zyxel Networks, the world experienced the largest data leak in history, exposing over 16 billion login credentials to potential attacks. While a recent survey found that 94% of SMBs recognize cybersecurity as a critical priority, many remain under-equipped, relying on limited tools and expertise to protect their networks, leaving them particularly vulnerable to costly breaches.

Protecting the first line of defense with faster and safer logins

Weak or reused passwords are a common starting point for many security breaches. To address this, Zyxel Networks is introducing Passkey login for Zyxel Account which is an industry-first feature for SMBs that reduces risk without adding complexity. The new capability includes:

  • Passwordless access: Sign in seamlessly using fingerprint recognition, facial authentication, or a device PIN. With no passwords to steal or phish, attackers have one less way to compromise accounts.
  • Broad coverage: Passkey access extends across a wide range of Zyxel Networks services, including myZyxel, Nebula, SecuReporter, Astra, Circle, Marketplace, Store, Support Campus, Community, and Education Center. Support for network applications such as WiFi and remote access VPN logins through Nebula Cloud Authentication for SMBs will be added soon.
  • Flexible login options: Passkey complements existing sign-in methods, including password with multi-factor authentication, Google ID, Apple ID, and Microsoft Entra ID — allowing organizations to adopt the new feature at their own pace.

AI-Driven, Actionable Intelligence

With skilled security talent in short supply, Zyxel Networks is embedding AI-driven features to help SMBs and MSPs detect, explain, and remediate threats faster — reducing manual review and lowering the skill barriers that often challenge smaller teams:

  • AI-Protect with firewalls: SMBs and MSPs using the USG FLEX H series with uOS v1.36+ benefit from machine learning that blocks zero-day attacks and AI-driven service threats, moving beyond traditional signature-based protection. Admins can identify and manage thousands of applications and behaviors, including GenAI apps such as DeepSeek, ChatGPT, and Gemini.
  • AI-Monitor and AI-Assist with SecuReporter: AI monitors device health and abnormal CPU, memory, or session usage, helping admins detect early signs of potential network outages or security breaches. Weekly threat reports with AI Smart Summary provide quick executive-ready insights. The embedded AI assistant, SecuPilot, enables admins to explore insights, investigate incidents, and triage faster using natural-language queries.

“SMBs are caught between rising cyber threats and limited resources,” said Mr. Gary Chen, SEA regional head at Zyxel Networks. “By combining passwordless access with AI-driven security, we’re easing that burden, enabling customers and MSP partners to stay secure and focus on growth. These new security capabilities are integrated across our broad portfolio and services, making deployment and ongoing management more efficient and less resource-intensive.”
